Be honest.
When you think about camp, you probably think about the beach. The games. The late nights. The inside jokes that somehow last all year.
And yeah — all of that is real.
But what if this summer isn’t just fun?
What if it actually changes you?
Not in a dramatic, movie-scene kind of way.
But in the quiet, steady, real-life kind of way.

Camp Isn’t Just Hype. It’s Space.
Most of your year is loud.
School. Notifications. Group chats. Pressure. Expectations. Comparisons. Schedules.
You wake up and you’re already behind. You go to bed and your mind is still racing.
Camp does something simple but powerful: it gives you space.
Space to breathe.
Space to think.
Space to hear from God without everything else competing for your attention.
James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
Camp creates space for that to actually happen.
Not because the beach is magical.
Not because the speakers are perfect.
But because for five days, you step away from your normal environment — and that changes things.

The Flip Side of What You’re Carrying
Last summer, we spent the week talking about The Flip Side — how the other side of the things we carry often reveals something better than we expected. That theme may have belonged to last year, but the truth behind it still holds.
Maybe you’re coming to camp excited.
Maybe you’re coming tired.
Maybe you’re carrying stuff no one really knows about.
Here’s the truth: whatever you’re bringing with you, there’s a flip side.
The flip side of your doubt might be peace.
The flip side of your failure might be grace.
The flip side of feeling alone might be real friendship.
The flip side of distraction might be clarity.
Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
Camp isn’t about pretending everything is fine.
It’s about discovering that God is good, even in the middle of real life.
The Moments You Can’t Schedule
You’ll worship with hundreds of other students.
You’ll laugh until you can’t breathe during free time.
You’ll stay up too late talking in your room.
But some of the most important moments won’t be on the schedule.
It might be:
- Sitting on the beach during quiet time, realizing God feels closer than you thought.
- A small group conversation where someone says exactly what you’ve been feeling.
- The bus ride home, when you realize you’re not the same as when you left.
Romans 12:2 talks about being transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Sometimes that transformation doesn’t feel loud. It just feels steady. Clearer. Lighter.

This Isn’t Just Another Week
You don’t have to come to camp perfect.
You don’t have to have your faith all figured out.
You don’t even have to know exactly what you believe yet.
You just have to show up.
What if this summer is the one where:
- Your faith becomes your own.
- Your small group becomes your people.
- Worship feels different.
- You realize God isn’t distant — He’s near.
The bus ride there might feel like just another trip.
The bus ride home might feel different.
What if this summer actually changes you?
And what if you don’t even realize how much — until later?
