When you walk into a BigStuf session, there’s nothing quite like it—the energy of a thousand students worshiping together, powerful messages from stage, and an atmosphere that just feels electric. It’s a moment that sticks with you. But as incredible as those big moments are, there’s something just as important happening at camp, away from the stage, in small groups.
Because while the big moments help students see God at work, small groups help them process what it means in their own lives.

Navigating Middle & High School—Together
Let’s be real—middle and high school aren’t easy. It’s a time of figuring out who you are, making friends, and balancing school, sports, family, and everything in between. Every issue feels like the biggest issue because, for many students, it’s the first time they’re experiencing it. That’s why small groups are so important.
In small groups, students:
✅ Talk through what’s really going on—not just in a general, "this applies to everyone" way, but in a personal, real-life way.
✅ Find people who have their back—realizing they’re not alone in their struggles.
✅ Learn that faith isn’t just about listening—it’s about wrestling with questions, doubts, and next steps.
At BigStuf, small groups are where students take what they’ve heard from stage and make it personal. It's where they start connecting what God is doing in their hearts to their everyday lives.
Faith Grows in Community
The Bible reminds us over and over again that we’re not meant to walk through life alone. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Small groups give students a place to be sharpened, encouraged, and strengthened in their faith.
And the impact doesn’t end when camp does. Many students form friendships in small groups that last well beyond the week of BigStuf. They go home knowing they have people in their corner, friends who understand them, and leaders who care.

Why We Make Small Groups a Core Part of BigStuf
We believe real-life change doesn’t just happen in big crowds—it happens in real conversations. That’s why small groups are woven into the BigStuf experience. Because at the end of the day, students don’t just need a fun camp or great messages—they need people they can trust, who will walk with them long after the Christian summer camp is over.
At BigStuf, we’re all about creating moments that matter. And sometimes, the most life-changing moments aren’t the ones that happen on stage—they’re the ones that happen sitting in a circle, being real, and knowing you’re not alone.
