There’s something undeniably special about worshipping on the beach, and in Panama City, BigStuf makes this a memorable part of camp. While our sessions in the convention center are filled with high-energy music, engaging messages, and dynamic visuals, we also know the importance of stepping away from it all and simply worshiping under God’s creation.
On one night session of BigStuf, as the sun dips below the horizon, we take worship outside to the beach. The production is scaled back, and what remains is a powerful reminder of God’s presence in the stillness of nature. Surrounded by the sound of waves and under a sky dotted with stars, students find a deeper connection to their faith. The stripped-down worship setting gives space for them to focus on the beauty of God’s creation and the simplicity of being in His presence.
Why we do Beach Worship
This beach worship experience is about more than just that one night. It shows students that worship doesn’t require a big band, elaborate visuals, or even a retreat setting. God meets us where we are, whether we’re at home, on vacation, or just hanging out with friends. Worship can happen anywhere—in the car with a playlist of favorite worship songs (like this setlist from BigStuf 2024) or through a quiet prayer on a morning walk.
The takeaway? Worship is accessible anytime, anywhere. Our hope is that this experience inspires students to take what they felt on the beach back home with them, finding simple, everyday ways to connect with God in their lives.
Whether you're in Panama City or anywhere else, worship isn’t limited by location or setting. It’s a heart posture, a willingness to meet God where you are, and at BigStuf, we’re grateful to remind students of that powerful truth.
